Van Gogh Painting Stolen in Dutch Museum

Rotterdam - A number of 19th and 20th century paintings of high art, including Picasso and Van Gogh's paintings, which hang on the walls was stolen from the Museum Kusnthal, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. According to the police to the media, Tuesday, October 16, 2012.

"The incident of theft was estimated to occur at night when most workers a break," said police spokesman Rotterdam, Patricia Wessel, told AFP.

"An in-depth examination is being conducted at the scene," he said. "For various reasons, we could not talk much because it involves the artist."

ANP news agency said in a report, one of the thieves was stolen painting by the French artist, Matisse Hendri. Painting, before it is lost, hung on a museum wall.

"We are investigating how they can get access to, when it happened, and who the perpetrators of the theft," said Wessel.

In the museum run by the Triton Foundation, there are various paintings by top artists, including works by Pablo Picasso, Van Gogh Vincet, Marcel Duchamp and Piet Mondariaan.
